A kinder, gentler philosophy of success

Another great TED talk. Alain de Botton is a Swiss writer and Entrepreneur. Alain’s discussions have a philosphical style with an emphasis to everyday life.

Alain decribes that it’s easier now than ever before to make a good living; it’s harder than ever before to stay calm, free of career anxiety.

The idea that success is, a lot more ‘haphazard’ as de Botton would say, is examined closely in Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers.

This 17 minute TED.com video takes a look at some of the reasons why. Alain has a lively way of talking about the philosophy of success. It’s easily relatable and certain to make you smile.
